PAPERHEAD EP.0 status

EP.0 was the free prologue. It is not a free copy of the 2026 game. Both of those sentences have to stay on this page or the status is wrong.
Steam app 3008200 still resolves, and the page carries the notice that EP.0 is no longer available on the store. The 17 September 2026 announcement said the page would close on 24 September and that people who already had it keep it. On 18 October 2026 the current-player call for 3008200 returned 17 people, which fits a delisted game people still launch.
What EP.0 contained
The 13 November 2024 announcement, the day before launch, said EP.0 was 6 missions, 3 characters, a rank system, 11 achievements, and a metal soundtrack. It shipped free on 14 November 2024. HowLongToBeat's public figures for the prologue, from a small sample, are about 1 hour 58 minutes main story, 2 hours 46 minutes with extras, and 4 hours 57 minutes completionist. I am quoting those as HLTB's numbers, not as my own playthrough.
Steam reviews on the prologue were much larger than the full game's first week: the research snapshot recorded 3,850 all-language reviews at about 94 percent. I have not re-pulled that exact EP.0 review total today, so I am not printing a fresher count.
How to play something now
- Own it on Steam already: download it from your library. New claims stopped on 24 September 2026.
- Do not own it: the developer put a 2023 EP.0 build on itch.io and still lists the 2023 public demo. The page calls that build old and buggy. It is not the 2026 game.
- There is no official browser port. Download is for the paid game.

Is EP.0 still free to claim?
Not on Steam, as of the 24 September 2026 closure.
Does EP.0 include multiplayer?
Official categories are single-player. A user tag that says multiplayer is not a mode list.
